How to Get to Fasano, Puglia (Italy)

We’re so excited for you to join us in beautiful Fasano, in the heart of Puglia — the sun-soaked region in Southern Italy famous for its olive trees, beaches, and charming “masserie”. Getting here from the U.S. is easy with one short connection through Europe. Here’s how!

For those traveling from New York, there are direct flights through Neos.

Flights are departing from JFK every Monday and every Thursday.

Where is Fasano?

Fasano is a lovely town on the Adriatic coast of Puglia, about halfway between Bari and Brindisi.
It’s about 1 hour from both airports, making it perfectly located for guests flying into either one.

Step 1: Fly to Italy (or Europe)

Getting to Puglia is easy with a single stopover in one of the major European cities.

Most travelers will fly from the United States to one of the major European hubs (Rome, Milan, Frankfurt, Paris, Amsterdam, or Zurich) and then take a short 1-2 hour flight to Bari (BRI) or Brindisi (BDS).

Step 2: Arrive in Puglia

Option 1 – BARI AIRPORT (BRI)
Official name: Aeroporto di Bari Karol Wojtyła

About 1 hour 15 minutes drive to Fasano
Great if you find connections via Rome, Milan, Frankfurt, London, Paris, or Amsterdam

Option 2 – BRINDISI AIRPORT (BDS)
Official name: Aeroporto del Salento (Brindisi-Casale)

About 50 minutes drive to Fasano
Great if you connect through Rome, Milan, Zurich, or Paris

➡️ Tip: Brindisi is slightly closer to Fasano, but choose the airport with the most convenient connection from your U.S. departure city.

FAQ

What kind of weather should we expect in Puglia?

Late June in Puglia is warm, sunny, and beautifully summery — the perfect time of year for an outdoor celebration.
You can expect daytime temperatures around 80–88°F (27–31°C), with plenty of sunshine and gentle evening breezes.

We recommend light, breathable fabrics such as linen, cotton, or chiffon for daytime events, and perhaps a light shawl or jacket for the evening when temperatures dip slightly.

And don’t forget your sunglasses, sunscreen, and a hat — you’ll want to enjoy that Southern Italian sunshine in comfort.

You can reach Puglia by flying into Bari or Brindisi airports. You’ll likely need to connect in Rome or Milan. For more information, see the “Travels and Transfers” tab above.

On our homepage, you’ll find the itinerary for our wedding weekend, along with attire suggestions for each event.

Both events will be held outdoors, so it might be a good idea to bring a light jacket or shawl, especially for the evening.
